WELCOME TO TEACHERS INSTITUTE , MANACAUD
We
proudly welcome you to Government Teachers' Training Institute Manacaud, a
child friendly and eco-sensitive model institution in the state of Kerala. This
institution for molding young teachers was established in the year 1956.
Formerly it was known as High and Basic Training School for Girls and
functioned as a part of Manacaud high school. In 1961,a separate institution
known as the Basic Training Institute was formed.
In the
year 1987, our institution was renamed as Teachers' Training Institute, Manacaud.
Our institution offers a two year T.T.C course with 80 students presently
enrolled. We also have a four year primary school section with more than 940
students.We have also added a Pre-Primary section since 2009 which has about
105 students currently enrolled in two years of kindergarten.
Our
school was declared as a model school by the Trivandrum Corporation. As an
institution that has maintained a full fledged child friendly campus and
adopted innovative teaching practices for the holistic development of children,
we have been constantly lauded by the media and the citizens for our various
endeavors.
Our
school has been witnessing a constant increase in the number of new admissions
for the past four consecutive years. In 2010-11 academic year we received a
special award from the honorable Chief Minister of the State for the maximum
number of new admissions in I st standard.Our commitment towards excellence in
learning was also recognized through the best PTA award for the year 2011.
Our
institution constantly strives towards overall development of children by
enhancing their cognitive skills and transforming them into better students and
responsible citizens.
